ALBUM TYPES & OPTIONS

Choosing your album doesn’t need to feel complicated. Each album is carefully designed to suit your story, images, and preferences — and you don’t need to make every decision upfront.

This page will guide you through the main album options so you can understand what’s possible before we refine the details together.

TWO ALBUM STYLES

I offer two album structures, each with its own feel and finish. Both are archival quality and designed to last for generations.

LAYFLAT ALBUMS

Layflat albums open completely flat across each spread, allowing images to flow seamlessly across both pages. They have thick, mounted pages and a substantial, heirloom feel.

Best for:

- Wedding & milestone albums
- Full-bleed imagery
- Dramatic layouts

HARDCOVER ALBUMS

Hardcover albums have fine art paper pages and a lighter, book-like feel while still maintaining durability and quality. They allow for more pages and extended storytelling.

Best for:

- Story-driven albums
- Larger photo collections
- Family and life albums

SIZES & FORMATS

Albums are available in square, landscape, and portrait formats depending on the album type. During the design process, I’ll help you select the size that best suits your images and the way you’d like your album to feel.

You don’t need to decide this now — most clients refine size once images are selected.

HOW MANY PAGES?

Album length determines how your story unfolds and how much space each image has to breathe.

As a general guide:

20 pages → concise highlights
40 pages → short story
60 pages → complete narrative
80–100 pages → extended storytelling

Most clients choose a 60-page album. It allows your story to unfold naturally without crowding images while remaining balanced in size and investment.

COVERS & FINISHES

Each album is finished in a material and colour selected to complement both your images and your personal style.

Available cover materials include:

Linen
Leather
Leather-look
Velvet
Printed

Material and colour options vary slightly by album type. I’ll guide you through the available finishes once your album direction is confirmed.

A GUIDED SELECTION PROCESS

You don’t need to navigate album decisions alone. Once your design slot is secured, I’ll guide you through album type, size, page count, and finishes in a way that feels clear and considered.

The goal is always the same: an album that reflects your story beautifully and feels cohesive in your home.
